1. Tell us who you are – what you do and how long you’ve been doing it ?

I am SMASH137. I am a writer and have been doing this since 1990.

2. Favourite 3 colors?

I like every color as long as it’s black.

3. Favourite 5 pieces of all time and why – (please include links)

1.RensSek Whole car on the S-Bahn of Cophenhagen. Letters never had more swing than those big silver ones on this danish train car from the early 90′s. Definitely my all-time favorite.

2. This Pink T–Kid panel on the old NYC subway.

I feel like the entire Berlin style of the 90′s is based on this single panel.

3. “It’s so fresh” Whole car by Mode2 and the UpperClass. Sometime in the early 90′s from somewhere around Zürich. What can I say, you need to see the picture but unfortunately I can’t find it and you don’t want me to fly back to Switzerland and drive to my Moms house just to search for an old issue of 14K mag.

4. This yellow Kane panel from 1991.This is the first and last piece by a European writer which could keep up with the stuff I saw in Subway art.

5. The “2Many” Sketch from Mr. Dondi White in the holy SubwayArt book. The piece he finally did on the subway car is a bit disappointing but from my point of view the sketch is what I call perfect.

4. Favourite city and why ?

Probably New York. Writing is not too interesting over there but it’s definitely the one city where I get the feeling I am at the center of the world, if this makes any sense to you.

5. Favourite food / drink /?

I like a good plate of spaghetti Carbonara with a lot of Parmesan cheese on top and a Coca Cola fresh and cold straight out the can.

6. Biggest vice ?

Less is more but if it’s too much put more in it.

7. Biggest Gripe ?

Biting my style and selling it as your own is like riding a bicycle and making car noises with your mouth.

8. Favourite shoe?

I used to kill for AIR MAX but today i am more of the CREATIVE RECREATION or POINTER type.

10. Perfect day?

Spaghetti Carbonara for breakfast, an abandoned factory, enough Montana Blacks and Nyc fat caps for a whole day , my cell phone on off, my earphones up with some fresh banger music and the sun shining on my ass all day long. Geahhh boiiiiii!!!!!!!!

11. Whos the most famous person on your phone?

Okay, the rockstar question. Hhmmm… it’s probably myself. Ge-ge- geahhhhh boiiiii!!!!!!!!!

12. 3 people you would love to have a pint with ?

This Irish security guard which chased me out the spot just a few weeks ago when i went to visit you guys. I will light him up cigarettes all night long. Survival of the fittest!!!

13. 3 things you can’t live without . . .

Spraycans.

People telling me they like what I do but they can’t stand tags on memorial buildings and on private houses.

14. i am lucky/unlucky because . . .

I am lucky because I was born on a Sunday and unlucky that I can’t live forever. Damn!

15. Last time you were caught doing something ?

Last time I can remember was for commuting without a valid ticket, but my most stupid catch and fine was when I was around 14 years old. I got caught for tagging the cash register at McDonalds which cost me my marker and a full year of being banned from the McDonalds. Believe it or not this hurt me badly cause the spot was next to my school and I seriously believe in Big Mac’s and Cheesburgers. However since then I have never again tagged on a cash register at McDonalds.

16. 5 things that are within arms reach of where you are right now?

Did you get this one out of your girlfriend’s womens magazine?

My camera,

my girlfriends nail varnish,

17. what would u grab from your burning house?

My girlfriend can walk so i guess my Black– and MacBook.

18. 3 things to do before you die ?

Stealing a police car and chasing the entire city with the ringa-dinga flash lights on. Baaaaaam!

I wanna sell one of my canvas for at least one million Euros and I want the Manager of McDonalds handing me back my marker and apologizing for the one year I was banned from his store.

19. earliest memory

Wow boiii, VOGUE is definitely gonna hire you after this one.

Climbing up a tree and sitting there for hours cause I didn’t know how to get back down.

I have heard Australians can drink more then you Irish guys.
